The Seed Fairy

My green thumb came only as a result of the mistakes I made while learning to see things from the plant’s point of view. ~H. Fred Dale

Sustainability is something that I have recently become interested in. So what is it? In a nutshell, we depend directly on the earth to live so Sustainability is learning how to live harmoniously with Mother Nature. We need to evolve into a symbiotic relationship with the earth instead of a parasitic one.

In my beginning effort to reduce my footprint and save some dough $, I have attempted to plant lettuce, peppers, and tomatoes in my backyard. I love the idea of hanging plants upside down to grow. Eventually when my thumb gets greener, I would love to make over the yard into a Hanging Garden ( of Babylon 🙂 ).

If anyone has tips or tricks they would like to share, I’m all ears £)

  1. Have you thought about canning or fermenting some of your vegetables when they are ready? That’s sustainable and $ saving. I’ve recently started to ferment vegetables–so easy and so good for you.
