What’s your Southern Comfort?

No, not the alcohol… It’s the title of my favorite summer playlist. When it comes to summer, I’m a sucker for country songs about hot, sweaty nights, trucks, beer (even though I don’t partake), bodies of water, friends, fire, you name it! I’m kinda over the older songs like ‘She thinks my tractor’s sexy’, not that it’s a bad song but I’m trying to keep it more up to date. If any friends out there can make suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated. So here it is…

Southern Comfort:
1. Beachin’ – Jake Owen
2. All Summer Long – Kid Rock
3. River Bank – Brad Paisley
4. Barefoot Bluejean Night – Jake Owen
5. Radio – Darius Rucker
6. Toes – Zac Brown Band
7. She’s a Hottie – Toby Keith
8. Mud on the Tires – Brad Paisley
9. 5-1-5-0 – Dierks Bentley
10. Chicken Fried – Zac Brown Band
11. 1994 – Jason Aldean

Also, over the weekend my boyfriend and I went camping over night to explore Bear Brook State Park in Allenstown, NH. Unfortunately it was only one night instead of two; not bring an air mattress was a huge mistake. We did take a couple hour hike down One Mile and Bear Brook Trails; Mocha (our puppy) was in absolute heaven. The one huge disappointment for me was that the little beach in the pet friendly camping area said no pets allowed! Hrmph!!!

I had fun though, and now I have made a new personal goal to go exploring as many state parks as I can- and to make it realistic I am not setting a time limit, but would like to get out more often. It’s so hard to find places that are pet friendly though.

“Who in the world am I? Ah, that’s the great puzzle.” – Lewis Carroll

Hi! I’m Jessica, entering new territory releasing the thoughts in my head out upon the world. I am in a dedicated relationship and we have one fur child. His name is Mocha and he his a Beagle mix, turning a year old next month- sometime in June. Right now I am back in school working on a degree in ECE; I should have had my business degree by now, but I can’t seem to pass Calculus. I’ll try for that again later.

I enjoy spending time outside; walking, hiking trails, camping, reading, and playing with Mocha but am not fond of winter weather or sports. I like to try different things all the time. And by ‘things’ I mean various crafts, hobbies, or experiments. I am hoping to use this blog as a means of recording my thoughts, adventures, and personal discovery.
